Peter’s latest work, a Christmas Carol entitled Adam lay Ybounden, had its world premiére performance by the BBC Singers conducted by Peter Foggitt, on 20 July 2018 at St Paul’s Knightsbridge.

On 14 April 2018 in the church of the Venerable English College, Rome, Cappella Fede performed Peter’s new motet Gaudeamus omnes, composed for a special performance celebrating nine centuries of music dedicated to St Thomas Becket. The piece was dedicated to the VEC and was very enthusiastically received.

In 2017 Peter composed two new a cappella motets, Clamabat autem mulier and Senex puerum portabat, for choirs in The Netherlands.

Peter was appointed Conductor of the Cardiff University Chamber Choir in the summer of 2016. He is an Associate Lecturer in the Cardiff University School of Music.

Peter’s ground-breaking article, on music and musicians associated with Cardinal Henry Benedict Stuart (1725-1807) in Rome, was published in The Consort in June 2015.

In June 2015 Cappella Fede (with the support of Harmonia Sacra) performed in the chapel of St Mary’s College, Oscott, with a programme of world premiere performances of vocal works by Sebastiano Bolis, Giovanni Costanzi and Giovanni Zamboni, composed for Cardinal Henry Benedict Stuart. The concert included instrumental sonatas by Carlo Tessarini. Prior to the concert the entire programme was recorded for a new CD, generously sponsored by Oscott College, which is out now on Toccata Classics.

In April and July 2015 Harmonia Sacra recorded their third CD, featuring mostly first recordings of contemporary choral works by Robert Hugill, David Bednall, Jonathan Lee, Lawrence Whitehead and Peter Leech. The new CD, Lux memoriaque, was released in October 2017 on the Nimbus Alliance Label.

In August 2015 Harmonia Sacra performed a weekend of services at Wells Cathedral, receiving the highest praise from the Precentor and other Cathedral clergy.

On Sunday 25 October 2015, at a festive Evensong at St Mary’s Church, Taunton, Collegium Singers and Peter Leech will perform the world premiere of a new anthem, ‘Fear Not For I Have Redeemed Thee’, composed by Stephen McNeff.
